"We should throw an insane party that is unlike anything we've seen in the states" we said in 2019. This spawned the early concept. With 2 of us traveling as international DJs, and one as a writer living in Ibiza, Spain, we had experienced some pretty epic parties. But coming home we realized nothing truly represented what we had lived abroad. "Let's call it Motel Margarita" named after the international symbol of a good time.
What a better place to start than a side party at Coachella. Sunshine, a pool, and tequila. We threw our first event as a side party for Coachella at a sprawling estate. This led to multiple events shortly after including the Mondrain in Los Angeles, and the Pendry in San Diego
When Covid shut down our event shenanigans we decided to dive into our product offering and what better to do that with than a Margarita Mix? We took almost 2 years to formulate what we wanted and that was a clean, simple margarita mix the way it should be. Five simple ingredients, lower calories, and less sugar than the rest of the market. We can confidently say it's one of the best damn things you've ever put in your mouth.
What started as a few merch styles quickly grew in demand to be over 100 SKUs of apparel. The demand continues to grow, and now with over 200 retail doors across the US, our products are becoming more available than ever.
It seems only natural that we bring this concept to life in physical form. Keep an eye out for the brick and mortar Motel Margarita in the near future.
